The teams have now bigger motivation at this stage of Regular Season. Every game can be crucial and decide about teams' position at the end of Regular Season. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Leones (16-10) in Juana Diaz on Monday night. Hosts were defeated by sixth ranked Brujos (8-17) 88-84. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Leones. Brujos made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. American guard Josh Perkins (191-1995, college: Gonzaga, agency: Slash Sports) stepped up and scored 27 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and his fellow American import power forward Ben McCauley (206-1986, college: NC State) chipped in 22 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was the former international guard Jezreel De Jesus (185-1991, agency: Interperformances) with 25 points and 7 assists. Leones' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Brujos maintains sixth place with 8-17 record. Leones at the other side still keep top position with ten games lost. Brujos are looking forward to face higher ranked Indios (#4) in Mayaguez in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Leones will play on the road against Grises in Humacao and are hoping to win this game.
Important game to mention about took place in Mayaguez. Fourth ranked Indios (13-12) saved a 1-point victory at home edging second-best Piratas (15-10) 77-76 in the game for the second place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Piratas. American point guard Dwight Buycks (191-1989, college: Marquette) nailed 17 points and 8 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for the winning side and Kaleb Wesson accounted for 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Jamil Wilson (201-1990, college: Marquette) came up with 20 points and 8 rebounds for Piratas in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Indios have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Santurce. Piratas at the other side keep the second position with ten games lost. They share it with Arecibo. Indios will play against Brujos (#6) in Guayama in the next round. Piratas will have a break next round.
A very close game took place in Arecibo between Capitanes and Cangrejeros. Third ranked Capitanes (15-10) got a very close home victory over second-best Cangrejeros (13-12). Capitanes managed to escape with a 2-point win 84-82 in the fight for the second place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Cangrejeros. The best player for the winners was David Huertas who scored 27 points. Capitanes' coach Rafael Cruz used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was Cheick Diallo who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and 19 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Quebradillas. Loser Cangrejeros keep the second position with 12 games lost. They share it with Mayaguez. Capitanes will meet at home Gigantes (#5) in the next round. Cangrejeros will have a break next round.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 21: Bayamon won against Humacao on the opponent's court 94-87. Guayama unfortunately lost to Guaynabo in a home game 87-92. Fajardo managed to beat Carolina on the road 90-83. San German defeated Guaynabo on its own court 101-95. Humacao was beaten by Fajardo in a road game 90-85.



Humacao - Bayamon 87-94

Very expected game in Humacao where 6th ranked Grises (7-18) were defeated by first ranked Vaqueros (17-7) 94-87 on Saturday. Vaqueros looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Angel Rodriguez (180-1992, college: Miami, FL) who scored 21 points, 7 assists and 6 steals. American forward Kristian Doolittle (201-1997, college: Oklahoma, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was international center Timajh Parker-Rivera (202-1994, college: Towson) who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and American forward Malcolm Miller (200-1993, college: Holy Cross) added 22 points respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vaqueros maintains first place with 17-7 record. Grises lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 18 games lost. Vaqueros will meet at home Gigantes (#5) in the next round. Grises will play against the league's leader Leones and hope to secure a win.

The best player for the winners was naturalized American guard Kyle Vinales (188-1992, college: CCSU, agency: Inception Sports) who scored 23 points and 4 assists. American forward Ben Moore (203-1995, college: SMU) chipped in 17 points and 4 assists. Four Mets players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Josh Perkins (191-1995, college: Gonzaga, agency: Slash Sports) who recorded 30 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import power forward Ben McCauley (206-1986, college: NC State) added 23 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Despite that victory Mets went down to fourth position due to points difference. Loser Brujos keep the sixth place with 17 games lost. Mets will meet league's leader Vaqueros in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Brujos will play against Indios (#4) in Mayaguez and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Cariduros shot 21 for 33 from the free-throw line, while Gigantes only scored four points from the stripe. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was international power forward Arnaldo Toro (203-1997, college: St.John's) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds. International forward Emmanuel Andujar (197-1993, college: Manhattan) chipped in 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Cariduros players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Tremont Waters (180-1998, college: LSU) who recorded 31 points and 6 assists and the former international center George Conditt IV (208-2000, college: Iowa St.) added 8 points and 12 rebounds respectively. Gigantes' coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Cariduros maintains third place with 13-13 record having two points less than leader Ponce.
